Accounts and public contributions

Supabase processes email addresses, login credentials and verification information to provide registration and sign-in. When you sign in with Google, Google and Supabase exchange the account information needed to complete sign-in. We do not display your email address publicly. Contributions show your public nickname, content, publication date and likes received. Star ratings contribute to aggregate scores.

We store ratings, comments, likes and reports to provide community features, prevent duplicate actions and address abuse. Reports are available to administrators and are not displayed as public comments. Please keep passwords, home addresses and other private information out of public nicknames and comments.

Cookies, browser storage and analytics

Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security and saved preferences. Unpublished comment drafts may be saved temporarily in your current tab so you can continue after signing in.

Only with your permission, we use PostHog’s US service to measure public page views, clicks, active reading time, reading depth, search result counts and community actions. A random browser identifier helps estimate unique and returning visitors. It is not linked to your website account, email address or nickname.

Analytics does not send search text, postal codes, comment contents, passwords or URL query parameters. Session recording and IP-based geolocation are disabled. Network requests still pass through our service providers. Declining analytics does not affect browsing, sign-in, ratings or comments.

Service providers and external content

Supabase provides account and database services. Resend delivers account verification emails. PostHog provides analytics when you opt in. Maps, embedded content and external links may send connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to their respective providers under their own policies. Depending on where these services are hosted, data may be processed outside your country.

Managing, retaining and deleting data

We retain relevant information for as long as needed to provide account and community features and address security or abuse issues. You can change your nickname in your account. Regular members can delete their own comments or account. Account deletion removes the associated profile, comments, ratings and likes from our primary database. Administrators must transfer their administrative role before deleting their account.

Withdrawing analytics consent stops future collection but does not automatically delete previously submitted events. Backups and service logs may take longer to expire under provider retention processes. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion; we may need to verify your identity to protect your account.
